Haverstraw United FC Newsletter 5-9-2023

Dear members and supporters of the Haverstraw United Football Club,

We hope this newsletter finds you well and that you enjoyed the exciting weekend of soccer. As the season continues, we have some updates to share with you.

We would also like to extend a warm welcome to all new players and coaches who have joined the Haverstraw United Football Club.  John Perez is a new coach to the Haverstraw United Football Club. Coach Perez brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team and has already made a significant impact in his short time with us. We are lucky to have him on board and look forward to seeing the team thrive under his leadership.

Our U-12 team played back-to-back matches over the weekend, and we are thrilled to report that they had an excellent performance on the field. In the first game, the team tied 5-5, and in the second game, they won 6-4. Both matches were played at the Mary Daly Field at the Green Meadow Waldorf School. We are incredibly proud of the team's hard work and dedication, and we can't wait to see them continue to progress throughout the season.

We are thrilled to announce the success of our afterschool program at the Town of Haverstraw Recreation Complex. The program has been made possible by the support of Town Supervisor Howard Phillips, and it has been a fantastic opportunity for kids to have fun while learning the skills and techniques of soccer. Our dedicated coaches have been working hard to provide engaging and challenging workouts for the kids, resulting in an incredible learning experience for all. The afterschool program has also given the kids a chance to stay active and healthy while socializing and having fun. We are thrilled to see the kids enjoying themselves and learning valuable life skills that extend beyond the soccer field.

At Haverstraw United Football Club, we are committed to providing our players with the best possible training and playing experiences. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow and reach their full potential, and we are proud to offer a wide range of programs and initiatives to help them do so.

Our GK training program has officially started. We have welcomed Coach John Perez will be joining coach Steward Ceus in leading the training sessions and mentoring goalkeepers.  Together the coaches have a wealth of knowledge on the position.  We are excited to offer our goalkeepers the opportunity to hone their skills and improve their game, and we can't wait to see the positive impact this training will have on their performance on the field.

We also want to take a moment to wish Amir a speedy recovery on behalf of the entire Haverstraw United Football Club. We know how much he loves playing soccer and being a part of the team, and we want him to know that we are all thinking of him during this time. We can't wait to have him back on the field with us soon!

We would like to thank all of the coaches, volunteers, and supporters who have contributed to the club's success over the years. Your support and dedication are essential to helping us achieve our goals, and we are grateful for everything that you do.

Thank you for your continued support of the Haverstraw United Football Club, and we look forward to seeing you at the next match.

Sincerely,

The Haverstraw United Football Club.
